WHSmith Movies Direct is the new online DVD Rental service from one of the UK's most recognised high street names. Like many suppliers of DVD and game rental services, WHSmith have struck up a deal with market leaders LoveFilm, which gives them access to over 60,000 DVD titles from the LoveFilm warehouses, plus hundreds of titles in both the HD formats, as well as hundreds of video game titles for the all the recent flagship consoles (Wii, Xbox 360, PS3), the last-gen machines (GameCube, Xbox, PS2) and both the main handheld formats (DS and PSP). This also means that WHSmith customers benefit from the same turnaround rate and service as LoveFilm subscribers do.

In order to satisfy both film buffs and l33t g4merz, WHSmith offer two different types of package - one which just allows for DVD movie rentals, and one which allows for customers to rent and enjoy a mixture of both games and films. All the WHSmith packages are of the Unlimited variety, offering you any amount of rentals from 1 disc up to 3 discs at any time. The 2 disc and 3 disc Unlimited Inc.
