Game Tart Review

Long-serving video game rental provider Game Tart have been doing the rounds for some time now (since 2004), and as such, they have one of the largest vaults of titles in the UK. So large, in fact, that they stock every available title for the consoles listed; that's every game currently available on the PS2, PSP, Xbox 360, Wii, DS and PS3. They also stock plenty of copies, thus reducing the probability of a latest release not being available. Game Tart know a few things about running a rental service, and as such have an impressive rate of turnaround.

The Game Tart website itself is very easy on the eye, featuring a fetching black and red cut and paste aesthetic which is refreshingly different from the comparatively stale and conservative layouts of other sites. Searching for titles is also a breeze - you can filter searches by console, and search either by keyword or genre. There are also charts and pre-made selections, such as 'Footie Mad!' and 'Essential PS2' as well as the tongue-in-cheek 'Media Outrage' section, featuring tabloid-bothering titles such as Manhunt and games from the Grand Theft Auto series. There is also a more traditional A-Z search option.

Game Tart offer punters two varieties of Unlimited style services, allowing you to keep either 1 or up to 2 discs at home at any one time. Game Tart offer a free trial of 10 days with both of these packages, although the free trial includes 1 game at a time only - you will be able to change your package once the free trial has ended.
