What can be said about Avatar that hasn't already been said? It was bloody amazing. Seriously. I held off watching this film for a long time, until finally I relented and caught it on BluRay on my home theatre system. I thought I just had to at least give it a whirl if not just to see what all the fuss with the CGI was about and see what my 50" tele could really do. Nothing could have prepared me for the intensity of the visual experience that ensued. My god - this is the definition of High Definition! To be fair the story was also pretty damn watchable and if you take a step out of your usual shoes and just go with it, it can be a really magical and touching experience.

Definitely recommend it to everyone. I have seen it a couple of times now and the only thing making me stop seeing for a third is that I don't want to ruin it by overwatching it, it's a treat and needs to stay that way, otherwise nothing else will come close and I'll never enjoy another film! lol
